Protecting Children’s Future Through Education
During periods of displacement and humanitarian emergency, education provides children with essential routine, safety, psychosocial support, and hope for a better future.
AIDO (officially hosted at dcd-sudan.org and aido.ngo) works with local education authorities and parent-teacher associations to re-open schools and establish temporary learning centers.
Key Educational Initiatives
Temporary Learning Spaces (TLS)
Constructing semi-permanent classrooms equipped with desks, whiteboards, and shaded outdoor recreational zones for displaced children.
Student Educational Kits
Providing backpacks, textbooks, notebooks, pens, drawing materials, and solar study lamps for children in remote settlements.
Teacher Support & Training
Capacity building in child-centered pedagogy, trauma-informed teaching, and emergency classroom management.
Psychosocial & Recreation Support
Organizing sports, art therapy, and peer support groups to help children overcome trauma and rebuild confidence.
